O Breathwork is a not just a breathing exercise it is a no talk therapy.
The way we breathe can be detrimental to our health.
We breathe on average 16 breaths a minute, approximately 22,000 breaths a day. We dont even think about it, we just breathe automatically.
STOP reading for a minute and observe the way you breathe. Are you a nose or mouth breather? Do you breathe fast, slow, shallow or deeply?
Taking short breaths or breaths that only reach our chest or the top half of our body, can make us feel restricted in the chest. This can lead to low levels of oxygen and high levels of carbon dioxide in the body.
When we become stressed or anxious our breath can become more rapid and even shallower. When this happens our body responds by going into the sympathetic state commonly known as fight or flight, and floods our body with adrenaline.
For our body to heal we need to be in the parasympathetic state, rest and relax. Taking relaxed deep breaths all the way down to the stomach pushes the diaphragm up, and allows the body to fully exchange incoming oxygen with out going carbon dioxide.
O Breathwork uses a combination of different breath work techniques and is very unique in its approach to healing.

It can help with processing emotions, healing emotional pain and trauma stored in the body.
